This of course led to Johns-Manville and other asbestos production and manufacturing companies to declare bankruptcy due to being sued overwhelmingly because of the deaths of their workers and its effect on those related to them. As much as it tried to lobby for aid from the US government, that did not work to their desired result. In my opinion, the responsibility really falls on the managers and shareholders of the Johns-Manville Company and the other asbestos producing and manufacturing companies. In the first place, it should be understood that they are aware of the products that they are producing and its effects on others. They are most likely aware of the risks involved to the employees and other individuals who are working in an asbestos filled environment. The indemnity should be carried out by the managers and the shareholders of these asbestos companies. At the same time, considering the massive amount of lawsuits against these companies that drove them to bankruptcy, a legal limit should be imposed on the amount of lawsuits that should be settled against them. For these companies to pay, they have to continue operating to make a profit in which an agreed amount would be set aside and allocated for payment of lawsuits. At the same time, there will be a queue for those making such lawsuits.
